Bring Authentic Promotion to Your Next Meeting, Conference, or Retreat

Authentic Promotion® has the potential to engage people in all facets of an organization in promoting its work to stakeholders, clientele, and the general public. "AP" has ignited enthusiasm for marketing and promotion in such diverse settings as a county auditor's staff retreat, NASA's Langley Research Center, and numerous non-profits and micro-enterprises.

Authentic Promotion and related trainings are available in both on-site and teleconference formats. To discuss the needs of your organization, phone Molly Gordon at 360-697-7022 or email mgordon@authenticpromotion.com.

You May Want to Know...

My style is interactive, spontaneous, irreverent. In addition to designing and delivering specific content, I'm a fleet-footed, quick-witted, and resilient facilitator. I love to elicit the intelligence and coherence that are too often latent in meetings, retreats, or planning sessions. I thrive on chaotic, emergent situations.

I'm a mediocre motivational speaker unless I have a felt connection with the audience as a result of prior or concurrent coaching or training. When such a connection exists, I can be a source of authentic inspiration. My strengths are directness, humor, intelligence, and surprise.

If you think we might be a fit, please phone me to discuss your needs. 360-697-7022.

Topics

My work is constantly evolving, and the following topic summaries are snapshots of recent offerings for diverse audiences. Please consider these as starting points for the perfect presentation for your purposes.

Authentic Promotion: Promoting Work that Matters
Inspires and equips participants to take proactive role in marketing or promoting their work. Appropriate for small business owners, staff trainings, non-profits, franchisees, and others. Depending on time frame, may include segments on networking, setting fees, sales conversations, establishing credibility, niche, and writing a marketing plan.

It's Your Party -- You Can Thrive If You Want To
Explores the role of personal belief systems and demonstrates  simple yet profoundly effective practices for moving from survival to thrival. Incorporates principles of Integral Transformative Practice and four-quadrant (AQAL) mapping in a simple tool for outlining a marketing plan.  In English, that means participants have a good time playing with the notion that they can be more successful, and as a result they come away with a new attitude and a plan of action.

Name Your Niche Now
Participants learn how to specify a niche narrow enough to make their program or franchise stand out without cramping their style or limiting their creativity. As a result, they can make simple, memorable statements to prospective clients and referral sources that will attract appropriate clientele.

Overcoming Barriers to Change
Employs distinctions from the work of Robert Kegan and Lisa Laskow Lahey regarding inherent barriers to change. A facilitated  process allows participants to see the dynamic equilibrium that is preventing effective, lasting change and specifies actionable steps to undo the stalemate.

Communications 901
If we're so smart, how come we...?  Great intelligence and great creativity do not always coincide with great communication skills. This workshop is for smart people who want to be more effective at speaking, writing, and listening so that more of their intelligence gets into the "network" and less ends up in the ozone!

Raise Your TQ
Develops capacity to tap individual and collective intelligence. Based on improvisation games and the work of thought leaders such as Rupert Sheldrake and Dee Houck. A playful, sometimes chaotic method that can be adapted to (believe it or not) strategic planning, customer service training, product development, and team building, and more.

The Integral Organization
An introduction to Ken Wilber's integral theory as it applies to business problems and opportunities. Essentials include mapping cultural, systemic, individual, and environmental aspects of an initiative or challenge to reveal blind spots and identify areas of greatest and least leverage. Includes overview of Spiral Dynamics.

The Story Only You Can Tell
Uses the metaphor of the hero's journey to shift resistance to marketing into spontaneous, authentic commitment to promoting meaningful work. Ideal for educators, professionals, and non-profits -- audiences who are inclined to see their work as something that cannot or should not be subject to the conventions of the marketplace.
